“Cider House Rules” by John Irving
John Irving books are often different. Not the perfect description, but first one that comes to mind. They always have a twist to them. Cider House Rules as actually the first on of his books that I read. You won’t soon forget Homer Wells or the doctor who raised him in an orphanage, Dr. Wilbur Larch. Published 1985.
