It was the 85th anniversary of the first Nancy Drew books. My mother read those books, and I inherited her books when I was young. I know the series has continued, but has been updated to be a current Nancy Drew, but nothing can replace the original. I remember trying to collect all of the books. The first book was The Secret of the Old Clock, and it was always my favourite. Published 1930.
When you look at the discography of Neil Diamond, it is amazing how many songs he has performed and how many have been recorded by other artists. The song I Am I Said is from 1971 and we recorded live on Neil Diamond’s incredible Hot August Night album from 1972.

A royal baby was born yesterday. And while there are many critics who don’t like all the pomp and circumstance of the royal family, I personally love it.
The royal family is like a real life fairy tale. And we all need a fairy tale or two in our lives.
A place where king and queens and knights in shining armour live. Where glass slippers and dancing tea pots exist.
And the best part about Prince William and Princess Kate is that they are making being royalty seem quite normal. As much as they can that is. But watching Prince William with Prince George going to the hospital just like any proud father and the new big brother, was enlightening.
Seeing Princess Kate 12 hours after giving birth looking absolutely gorgeous was beyond insane. I know I sure didn’t look like that 12 hours after! And I know people will say she had people getting her ready and everything else, but she still had to walk out there looking pulled together and not a bit tired.
And yes our news has more important things to report than the birth of a baby. But there are so many heartbreaking stories, so sometimes we just need to be distracted.
