Delicious Food

I live in a household of males. Even my dog and cat are male. And they are all completely and utterly guided by their stomachs. They are never full. But I’m also in a household of not just males, but male athletes (okay, the dog is getting a bit old to be considered an athlete!). They take their eating very seriously. So lots of recipes necessary! Click here for my list to date.

Individual Seven Layer Dips

Seven layer dipSince the weekend is almost here (I know, wishful thinking, who am I kidding) I thought I would share this recipe I found. How perfect are these? No more double dipping nightmares.

You now have something you can use this weekend for hosting or taking with you to a party. Or I’m thinking they would just be fun to have to eat for every meal when I’m too busy to make a meal.  Kidding!

Curried Quinoa

Curried QuinoaWhen I first tried quinoa I hated it. Then I figured out that you were supposed to wash and soak the brand I had bought. It really did taste awful. Since then I usually buy the pre-washed version and now even the kids really like it. Combining it with curry makes it extra yummy!

Baked Salmon with Garlic and Dijon

Salmon with garlic and dijonI made this for dinner tonight. Really trying to bring more fish into our diet. I was in a hurry so this was a really quick dinner to make. I prefer to put my salmon in packets of foil to cook. I have less chance of over-cooking this way. It was delicious!

Chicken Curry Soup

3The soup looks warm and delicious.  I’m a sucker for anything with curry and I like the fact that Mel’s Kitchen has adapted the soup to work for different tastes.
