“The Gargoyle” by Andrew Davidson

GargoyleThe Gargoyle completely surprised me when I read it. Reading the cover, I thought there was no way I was going to like this book. Love it when I’m surprised. The story begins with the narrator involved in a horrific accident, leaving him disfigured. While waiting to leave the hospital so he can commit suicide, he meets a sculptress of gargoyles, who insists they were once lovers in medieval Germany. I know bizarre! And it just gets better. This quote from the book is one of my favourites “You are mine, I am yours; you may be sure of this. You’ve been locked inside my heart, the key has been thrown away; within it, you must always stay”. Don’t be scared, read it.

Buy this unique but wonderful book at your local bookstore.
