21 Incredible Life Lessons From Anthony Bourdain On Life, Relationships, Travel And Most Importantly – Food
If you had told me ten years ago that one of the things I would put on my list for things I had to do was attend a country music fest, I would have said you were crazy. Me, the diehard 70s classic rock and 80s pop music fan (wow, those two sound funny together… being a diehard fan of those two genres).
But it is true.
I love country music and really wanted to experience the atmosphere of an outdoor country music festival. I have found at most country music concerts, that the fans are way more fun that at regular concerts. Country fans are there for everyone to have a good time. When we were at Keith Urban, and on the floor, people would just gather around, move in front of each other, get a picture, move back out… all good. Regular concerts its a downright fight in the audience if anyone dares sing or stand! Pretty funny.
So we gathered up some girlfriends and headed up to a field just outside a small town up-island. It was hot (way too hot!) and there were a ton of people, but it was fun.
The music at festivals is always something, but the people watching is the best part. We planted our chairs and enjoyed all the activity around us.
Heard lots of acts I’d never heard before (some local bands that were excellent and got to be on the stage with thousands and thousands of fans), and then of course my Keith. Third time seeing him live and I will never grow tired of seeing him. Not quite the same seeing him from so far away on a field, but it was still a fun atmosphere.
So there I go. Checking another item off my list. So happy. Plus I got to spend it with fun girlfriends. Made it even better.
