One of my pride and joys is my library. I love love love my room full of books.
I am a bit of a book hoarder so when we converted a spare room into my library I was so excited.
But my biggest problem is that along with this library, I also love our local used bookstore, Russell’s Books. So once I had space to put the books, them if felt compelled to fill the shelves. And when you go to a used bookstore, and see a book you want, you have to buy it because if you don’t it might not be there next time you go.
So you have to buy it.
Which has led to me having a number of shelves with books that I haven’t read yet. But so desperately want to. And what is stopping me?
My blog. My contracts. My inability to stay awake as soon as I start reading.
I must change this as I’m really missing my reading.
I will find that time. It is a must. Either that or I’m going to have to ban myself from the bookstore and that would be awful!
Do you read a lot? Do you feel it is important yet becoming a lost art? Here is an article on the benefits of reading every day.Share this post!
This “self-help” book is excellent. It has some great sugestions for dealing with ever increasing workloads, stress and negativity. And it is also about trying to increase positive mind-sets in not just work but in every day life. A very easy read with some easy to administer action items.
This is a fan version of the song, but you can appreciate her voice and the lyrics more with this version.
