Supertramp. Best band ever. And I know I have said that before and am going to get slack for that one (believe me, my family does all the time) but I truly love Supertramp. I don’t know if it’s because they were so big when I was a kid and was one of the first albums I bought, and therefore I know every word to every one of their songs. But my love for them has never faltered.
I saw them live in Vancouver when I was a teenager in BC Place stadium (one of the first concerts held there). We stood on the floor so had to stand on my tiptoes all night and couldn’t walk for days. Saw Rodger Hodgson a couple years ago and I was in heaven. Fool’s Overture has every element of Supertramp that I so love! Released 1977

Sandra Gulland rose to fame with her popular Josephine B. Trilogy, which was one of my favourites. In Mistress of the Sun, she tells the story of Louise de la Valliere, a young girl who starts off as a spirited child of a nobleman and then enters the court of Louis XIV of France to win his heart.

I’m not a fan of public airing of negativity on Facebook. I hate when a YouTube video I like has awful comments below it.
Nor do I like whining or complaining or ranting on any form of social media.
I have tried really hard this year to only post the positive. If I’m having a bad day or need to vent, then that I talk to my best friend or my husband. Because then I can talk it out with them and this gets me back in that happy space we all crave. So rather than pollute the world with my gripes, I keep it limited (sorry to my sounding boards!).
Because with the advent of social media, we have become a society of too much information. But just because we have the means does not mean we have to share everything we are feeling.
Can you imagine how useful social media would be if it was just about the positives? No negative. No bullying. No whining. Just plain old humour, fun, inspirations.
That is why I started 365dayMom. It’s a filter to find all those positives in life. A one stop shopping place for all things good.
I hope you will join me in my quest to find the good and the happy. Think about what you are posting. Think about how it sounds and really what the purpose of it is. I talked yesterday about a 365 day project. Maybe that would be a good one. 365 days of happiness. Starting now.Share this post!
