Fleetwood Mac “Tusk”

Fleetwood Mac TuskI should have learned to play the drums rather than the flute in elementary school as I have been fascinated by them since forever. Any song with a good drum solo will always grab my attention. This one gets the whole USC marching band involved.

“The Outcast” by Sadie Jones

The OutcastThe main theme throughout the novel The Outcast is bullying and the effects it has one those involved. The book starts in 1957 with the main character Lewis returning to his home town after serving time in prison. It then goes back twelve years to when Lewis and his friends were growing up. The book won a number of awards including being a finalist for the Orange Prize. This was British novelist Sadie Jones’s first novel. Published in 2009.

Opposite of Loneliness

Opposite of LonelinessI gave the book The Opposite of Loneliness to a friends for Christmas. We aren’t fresh university grads anymore, but we are always looking to make change. So thought she would enjoy this book (and then hopefully lend to me afterwards). This article talks about the book and why it is inspiring no matter how old we are.
