The Waltz Goes On

Sir Anthony Hopkins WaltzSir Anthony Hopkins is one of my favourite actors. But before he became an actor he was a musician. He wrote this waltz in the 1960s and finally sent it to Andre Rieu who loved it. This is the first performance that Sir Anthony heard it. The pure joy on his and his wife’s face are beautiful. The waltz is lovely too.

Muse “Uprising”

Muse UprisingThe song Uprising by Muse has such a haunting beat to it. I used to use it as my ring tone on my phone because it was so distinctive. Very cool.

Movie Night – Steel Magnolias

Steel MagnoliasWhen I feel like I need a really good cry, but I don’t want anyone to think I’m upset, I just put on Steel Magnolias and I have my buffer. Because that movie makes me sob. Like literally sobbing. The cast of characters is awesome and the actors who play them superb. If you have not watched this movie then do it (and make sure the kleenex box is beside you). Best line ever “I’m not crazy M’Lynn, I’ve just been in a very bad mood for 40 years” as only Shirley MacLaine can deliver.
